Pinot Noir from our Estate Mt Adams View and Mt Hood View Vineyards
Dineen is a renowned vineyard in Rattlesnake HIlls near Zilla, Washington. At about 1100 feet, the vineyard is just a bit cooler than most in the warm areas of Washington, and that means we get more 'hang time' in the fall to fully develop the varietal flavors. Pat Dineen and his vineyard manager, Pat Rawn, do wonders in producing some of the finest fruit in Washington.
Pinot comes from our estate vineyard, planted to 115, 777, Pommard and 114 clones. At 2100 feet, the area was considered marginal for wine grapes but recent years has shown the future potential of Snowden for farming. We are also fortunate to get the Wadensville clone from Pearblossom Vineyards on Underwood mountain in the Gorge. |
